Landrie is 9 months old!

Landrie,

You are nine months old now!! I know I say it each month, but where has the time gone?!? I feel like this first year is just flying by and I want it to slow down. Each phase/stage with you just gets better and better though! You are such a precious little girl and you bring so much joy, love and happiness to our little family. Your daddy and I love you so much and we were just talking about how we had imagined what you would be like--you have been so much more than we could have ever dreamed up.

You have several new things that you have started doing this month! You are now giving "big squeezes" hugs in which you grunt as if you are using all your might to give it. I love feeling those little arms wrap around my neck and that grunt when I ask for a big squeeze. You are still offering kisses for mommy and daddy. You are saying dada, baba(bottle), bye-bye(along with waving), hi, and you blow kisses with sound effects. You still haven't said momma--which I know your daddy is still relishing in--but I know my day is coming! :) You are cruising along the furniture and getting braver every day by letting go and standing for a couple of seconds before falling. You still love bathtime so much--especially when Wheel of fortune is on--you are mesmerized by it. It is really cute!

You go to bed most nights by 9pm and we still have to wake you up each morning. You are back in a good sleep routine and I am thankful for this! You now have four teeth!! It was a rough road getting them through, but you did it. You have also bit momma a few times, but you are geetting pretty good at listening when we tell you something is a no-no. :) You are loving Macy more and more and you get so excited to see her each night. She even let you lay your head on her the other day.

You are still such a snuggly baby and we love it! You still sleep with us and we love that too! haha! You love to see your friends at school each morning, but you are equally excited to see us each evening. I love to see your face light up with the biggest smile when you see us at the door. You make a beeline to the door to get to us--you don't let anyone or anything get in your way! It is precious!

You love to do face-time with your Honeygram and Poppy. You love being around them and your papaw--and of course they love spending time with you! I do love to tease your daddy because before you were born Honeygram told him that he would always be her baby, but then she laid eyes on you and lets just say there is a new baby in town.

Landrie, you are one very blessed little girl and I pray that you always remember that. You are loved by so many people, but I want you to know how much Jesus loves you. My prayer for you has always been that you would come to know Him and His love for you, and that you would let Him do great things through you for His glory!

I love you sugar bean!! You are my greatest blessing! Your daddy and I love you more than you will ever know!

Tooth #2

Well tooth #2 made it's appearance yesterday. How has my teeny, tiny baby started growing up so fast!?! This one was rough on her too, but not nearly as rough as the first tooth.

The Pumpkin Patch...

We took LC to the corn maze this weekend.
She took her first hayride out to the pumpkin patch.

She had such a great time!! It was one of those perfect days I dreamed about when I was expecting her.  She was really into checking the pumpkins out and got really excited. She loved the animals at the petting zoo and was especially interested in the chickens. (but we didn't get too close since we witnessed a little boy get pecked)

She got to wear her cute little chevron pumpkin shirt and she looked adorable as always. This little girl brings so much joy and happiness to our lives.

We are so blessed!

We have a tooth!!

When I took LC to the Dr. yesterday, she told me that she would be really surprised if her tooth didn't break through the gum overnight. She was right! My baby's 1st tooth broke through and boy oh boy is it sharp. :) She will barely let me look in her mouth much less get a picture so I will just post a couple cute pictures of her and her daddy instead! ;)

Sweet thing!

I stayed home from work today with Landrie because she has had some tummy troubles all weekend that I believe is from teething. I scheduled an appointment with her pediatrician this morning just to be sure everything is ok--and thankfully it was.

Landrie started something new today. When I picked her up this morning she patted me on the back. I know I always hug and pat her when I pick her up and it just melted my heart for her to do the same to me. She just lights up my days!

One of my favorite daily scenes....

She spots her momma and comes crawling for me to pick her up! Love this girl soooo much!

Landrie is 5 months old :)

Sweet Landrie,

You are 5 months old today. You have not felt good for the past couple of days (we think we have some major teething going on). Daddy stayed home from work with you today and I was home with you two days last week. You were still a trooper and let momma get your 5 month pics in on your monthly birthday.
You are still the happiest, smiley baby. Each day that passes with you in our lives just gets better and better. You have had a lot going on this month.

You weigh around 12lbs and 24 inches long. You are still in size 1 diapers and some 0-3 month clothing, but mostly 3-6 months.  You are getting so long!
You love to lay on the floor in your room and play with momma and daddy on a blanket. You also love to chew on your feet as evidenced below. :)
You started holding your own bottle this month! No one can believe it and it makes momma a little sad. :( You do still let me hold it some which I am sure is to just make me feel needed.  You have tried lots of new foods and seem to like everything you have tried. So far you have pears, sweet potatoes, carrots, and apples. You are still drinking 5 oz every 3 hours.
You are such a curious and friendly baby. You love most everyone you meet and momma finally let a few people at church hold you this month. Everyone loves when you give them a "double dimp" smile. haha!
You also found your tongue this month. Which you promptly used to say dada!
You love for us to tickle you--it cracks you up. You are especially ticklish under your arms and on your tummy.
You still sleep with momma and daddy every night (and you still love to snuggle up to mom). You started rolling over to sleep on your tummy 3 or 4 weeks ago which made me really nervous at first, but you seem to love it. We still have to wake you up most weekday mornings, because you want to sleep in. You don't nap much during the day especially at school. You always wake up in the best mood with a smile on your face.
You have become a wiggle worm this month. The picture below perfectly depicts what happens in your carseat if we don't buckle you in pronto! :)
You are on the verge of crawling. You amaze us by pulling your knees up like you are going somewhere. We know it won't be long until you are all over the place. You love to roll all over the place too! We can lay you down and the next thing we know you have rolled your way across the room!
Above all, you are my precious baby girl and I know I can never express in words the love that my heart feels toward you! You make all of my days good just by being your sweet self. Daddy and Momma love you more than you will ever know. I continue to pray that you will grow into a wonderful young lady who does amazing things for the Lord.

Love,
Momma

Landrie's 1st Fourth of July

We had a pretty low key Independence Day.  Landon worked at our new church with his dad cleaning up the outdoor area and Landrie and I visited with Papaw, Aunt Stephi and cousins.
Once we came home I decided to put Landrie in her 4th of July bow and tutu that she was gifted by one of our dear friends. She mainly wanted to chew on the tutu. :) She had several red, white, and blue outfits that she wore during the week. She looked so cute--but I am biased.

That afternoon we ordered pizza and sat around watching tv. Since it has been so dry lately our town cancelled the fireworks show that had been scheduled. We did get some live entertainment watching our neighbors display though. :) Our friends Billy, Sheri, and boys came over that night and Landon and Billy decided to light the extra large sparklers that Landon bought for Landrie. She really seemed to enjoy watching them and the fireworks. She didn't like the really loud whistling kind though--which I can't say that I blame her on that one. I loved watching her little eyes follow the lights. :)

We have some much to be thankful for in this country and freedom is at the top of the list. We are so blessed and we often forget that or take it for granted.
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 2 Cor 3:17
