Sweet baby feet...

4 weeks old

I was admitted to the hospital during Landrie's 4th week of life for emergency gallbladder surgery. It was horrible being away from her--I think the pain of that hurt worse than the gallstones(which was probably more painful than l&d) ha! My sweet MIL came to our house and stayed with our sweet girl! I don't know what I would do without my wonderful family. My FIL came to the hospital and sat with me each night and my dad stopped in after work and made his poor co-workers sit in the van and wait.  Landon was so good through it all--he was right by my side and kept me updated on my baby girl.

1 month old

Dear Landrie,

I can't believe you are one month old already!! Time is flying by before my very eyes! I am so thankful to be your Mommy--it is one of the greatest blessings that God has ever given me. I can truly say that I felt a love like I had never known when I first laid eyes on you. You are a precious gift and I pray that you will always know just how much your Dad and I love you. You have brought us so much joy in the short time that you have been with us.

Some facts about you at one month old:
You finally started to gain some weight in the last couple of weeks. You are starting to chub up a little bit. :) You are a very strong little girl--you love to raise your head up and you want to be able to look around and see what is going on in your little world. You recognize your Mommy and Daddy's voices. You love for us to sing to you and for Dad to read books to you.  You have really become even more attentive in the last week or so. We have also determined that you are a strong-willed little girl. You don't mind letting us know when you are hungry, tired, or need a diaper change.  You are still only wearing newborn clothes and diapers--you have such precious dainty little features. You went to see everyone at Mommy and Daddy's work when you turned 4 weeks old. They loved you--everyone couldn't get over what a beautiful baby you are! We couldn't agree more. :)

As your mommy, I pray that you will always be as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside. I pray that you will grow to be a strong woman of Jesus Christ and that you would do great and mighty things for His name's sake.

We love you so much Landrie Caroline! You are a great blessing to me and your dad.

LC's 1st stroller ride

It was a nice 70 degree afternoon so we decided to take Miss Landrie for a walk at Norris Dam. She loved the stroller ride and was out in a couple of minutes. I snapped these when we got back to the car--as soon as the stroller stopped moving she popped hers eyes open.
