Guess who rolled over!!!

Ok, I was just a little excited when this girl rolled over(I may have screamed so loud that it scared her and caused her to cry) I am a proud momma! Who knew rolling over could be so exciting? ;)

13 weeks old

Landrie is 3 months old!

Look who turned 3 months old. 

My Dear Landrie,

I know I say this each month, but I can't believe that you are 3 months old already.  You are more fun with each day that passes. You are such a happy baby. You love to smile at everyone--we ask you to give us "double dimps" and you proudly show of those cute dimples.  You can only wear a few of your newborn clothes now. You are mostly in 0-3 months and it looks like you are quickly getting too long for those. 

You started daycare this month. You have adapted so well--much better than momma. You apparently have made lots of friends at "school" including a certain little boy whose eye you caught. ;) You are a very curious baby and love to inspect the world around you.  

 Everyone who meets you remarks on how beautiful your big blue eyes are. You are very strong and alert. You enjoy sitting in your bumbo seat while I cook dinner.

 You are still eating 4oz every three hours, but you will probably be moving up to 5 oz very soon. You are growing so much--it is unbelievable. We don't have another well check until you are 4 months, but we believe you are around 11lbs now.

You have developed a strong distaste for your car seat. :) I think you are afraid you will fall asleep in it and you definitely don't want to miss any action. Your teachers at "school" can't believe how little you sleep during the day. You usually take 2-3, 15-30 minute cat naps during the day, but you sleep 8 or 9 hours each night.

I love you more than you will ever know and I can barely remember what life was like before you came along. You are such a wonderful blessing to me and your daddy.

1st Mother's Day

This was a day that I had dreamed of for quiet some time. I spent the last few years wondering each Mother's day if I would ever become a mother.  Being Landrie's momma has been better than anything that I had ever dreamed up or imagined. She brings so much joy to my life! I could sit and stare at her for hours on end (and have).  God has been good to me and I often feel so unworthy of the wonderful gifts he has given me. I am so thankful for this special job and calling called motherhood.  I thought of those who want so badly to be mothers. I pray that God would bless them and give them a special peace on this day.

We remembered to snap a few pics at the end of the day after someone was getting tired. :)

Landrie's 1st Vacation

We decided since I would be turning to work in May that we should make the most of my maternity leave and take a vacation.

We stayed at a nice little villa at Sea Pines on HHI.  Landrie did so well on the trip--I was concerned about how she would handle 6-7 hours in the car at a time, but she was so good.

Daddy/Daughter Story Time

Landon loves to read to Landrie and she really seems to enjoy it too! Here he is reading her The Little Engine That Could--the first book she received from Dolly's Imagination Library.

We took daddy out to dinner for his 31st birthday!
